Welcome to the Meadowcroft South Condo Community Library page online!

We're offering to keep track of the books we keep in our small community library - with your help!

Just a few notes about the library catalogue:

• The cover shown in this catalogue may not be the same cover that's on our copy of the book.
• Therefore, look for the book under the author's last name - that won't be too difficult, as this is how they are sorted.

I suggest:

1. Don't take more than 3 books out at any given time.
2. Try to return library books within 3 weeks. (We may check up but not very regularly - it's an honor system.)
3. If you want to add a book to the library, leave it off there. Great if you let June know by e-mail (juneedvenson@gmail.com) but not required. She'll add it to the online system if it stays in the box.

Our library on LibraryThing can be searched by author, genres, etc. Library Thing also provides brief summaries that may entice you to find that book and read it. When you do find a book you're crazy about, you can search LibraryThing in other ways to identify more you'll love - as recommended or by author, genre, etc. Members can also enter information to the catalogue, and leave remarks about books they love in the "Recommendations" or "Reviews" fields.

We will update the holdings occasionally.

Hi, folks!

Our small community library has recently been catalogued online and we're getting more contributions and returns, so definitely check it out!

Recent past librarians included Peggy Elkins and Gretchen Littlefield, and Judy McCullough has been so helpful to open it and close up. Now, we are headed into Summer, so it may be closed - or we may find someone to unlock it occasionally.

Generally, someone should be opening it up on Saturdays in summer, we hope - then it's time to enjoy, contribute, etc.

In the library garage, please feel free to drop off magazines and catalogues, if you have current ones and would be willing to share.

I'm June Edvenson (Thjomoe), a long-time book lover and library-lover, stepping in to catalogue it. This website, LibraryThing, gives organizations (free of charge) the capacity to create a library holdings catalogue.

We think this this will make it easier for our community members to: think about what books they want to read, inspire them to find out more about the books that are on our shelves, and provide an overview that we can update occasionally. If you contribute a book(s), let me know, and I'm happy to add it to the catalogue.
