Not sure why I fall for these. Big photos, and half-baked articles that almost bump up against something interesting to say, but then stop before they get there.

A typical magazine compilation...heavy on the pictures, heavy on the famous people quotes, light on facts. An okay time-waster.

A very useful book!

Good guide up to 1994. Probably available on-line, but I haven't checked. A very high proportion of rated films are "R"; includes many older films (not rated but would be R). The laserdisc section duplicates some of the foregoing, but some not reviewed elsewhere. This was a new and very expensive technology at the time; I don't know if the comments would carry over to the current type of dvd or not.
