While this book gives a good treatise on pregnancy nutrition, and some other information on pregnancy, it has several flaws. Firstly, much of the information is aimed at the newly vegetarian - with good reason, because while the author acknowledges that most vegetarians know this information, she has to be sure that everyone is working with the same foundation. However, this basic information and repetition means a lot of glazing over. Second, she attempts to organize the book into pregnancy by month; while a laudable goal, most of the issues do not fit discretely into specific weeks, so the entire book really should be read. Third, her contrived Question and Answer format leads to so much repetition, I feel like I am being hit in the head with a hammer. Other than those flaws, this book is very approachable and easily understood. The best part: it is an incredible prop for people to see and flip through, so they worry less about YOUR pregnancy, even if you feel you already know the information (though I did learn some things).
