Really interesting edition this time, I particularly enjoyed learning about what was going on in various Latin American countries. Recommended as usual even if you're not a tankie (I'm not either).

Two very good articles this issue - the one called What We Stand For and the one called British state, racist state.

Some really interesting stuff here, I enjoyed learning about Engels and about bananas and the British state's role in Unionist terrorism and about Cuban monetary policy.½

Another fine read, their news critique is great. Again, Patrick Casey's analysis is particularly entertaining, and Lehtu Mpetha's take on the UK's response to anti-racist protests is sensible.

Another fun-packed issue full of important facts and figures that you would normally only find out by researching yourself and not by reading a paper. My favourite but this bimonth was a short piece outlining Johnson's cabinet failures, and a longer piece on the effects of the international sanctions on Cuba's attempts to find a vaccine for Covid. At the time of writing, their vaccine was in the testing phase earlier than those of the Western capitalist world. Another good piece shows that the effects on the global economy of covid will be the biggest negative change for 300 years and provides a breakdown of the effects in the UK as already seen - for example that 80% of NHS hospitals self-report dangerously low capacity. Generally a fine periodical!

A fairly standard issue, lots of interesting commentary that is backed by strong evidence and actual citations, on subjects that you'll often struggle to find in other media, and some aspirational communist bluster!
