A 3 rating because it really doesn't work as a short story. But a 4 rating as a prequel, because it left me wanting more. But there's just too big a jump in the timeline that could have been explored. I'll assume that will be done in flashbacks in the series.
A decent short story of a zombie apocalypse. A lot of cliched characters. Some good action. But in the end, I wasn't looking for any follow-up stories.
