Loved her stories about Clark Gable, Frank Sinatra, David Niven, Robert Mitchum, Bette Davis, and others but wish there had been more. For example she co-starred with Doris Day in Doris' very first film, Romance on the High Seas but did not say anything about her. I also would have liked to have heard about Dennis Morgan (a personal favorite) with whom she co-starred a few times. Her personal story of growth is also fascinating and to read how she worked through and persevered through many situations that would have caused others to give up was inspiring. She continually reinvented herself as the industry changes going from films to stage to television. However, most inspiring is that she wrote this book in her 90's (although based on her diaries that may have been written many years ago) and is still learning and growing at age 97. The book is not without errors - i.e., Clark Gable did not win three Oscars (only one win and three nominations).… (mais)
