This is a very short history of the Irish Brigades that fought on the continent from the 1690's to the early 1800's. It concentrates on Spain and France with whom by far the most Irish men fought. It omits the contribution of Irish men to the armies of Austria and Russia among others. Its not very extensive but is worth buying for the photos, illustrations and colour plates alone.½
