A Jeweler’s Eye de Glenn Lowry
Islamic art in books from the Vever collection
The sequel to "An Invitation to See." The only complaint I have is that the inflexible spine makes the book difficult to open. It's sewn, but then the paper cover is just glued onto a very stiff book block. I adore the back cover--a poster by Allen Ruppersberg with the enigmatic message "IT'S NOT ART (THAT COUNTS NOW)." Never more true and untrue in 2018.
