K-Gr 4—Hair carries a powerful legacy and connection in Native/Indigenous cultures. Lindstom's sparse, poetic
language ("Our ancestors say: Our hair is our memories. Our source of strength") and Littlebird's bright palette
capture both serenity and hope.

This is a very beautifully illustrated book. On every page there is a beautiful and colorful illustration to go along with the story. The book focuses on the beliefs of Indigenous people and their values and what they find important. I think this book can be for any age because it can be educational and appealing to all ages.
