This is a good collection of essays on the idea of intertextuality, or the inescapable web of textual relations that seems to characterize basically all written communication. Intertextuality is not a method, per se, but a feature of texts themselves, and the importance of given intertextual relationships, even their invention, is both and severally a matter of authorial "intention" and readers' perception.
