I bought this at the original A Different Light Bookstore, in Silverlake, CA. It looked interesting, maybe a little cowboy a little eros, but it turned out to be much more. It's very short, but the voice in which it's written sounds like an authentic cowboy of the 19th century, very believable and a lot of fun. Realistic characters and situations. Sit down and let the old timer narrate an adventure from his life. Engaging and absorbing from start to finish!

Pleasantly surprised by this older "gay western". It was not porn disguised as a western but a true western. The main character was very likable even with all his faults. Highly recommended read.
