Another story of the atrocities of WWII and the Jewish people.

Ruth wasn't allowed to be called by her real name, but had to go by the name Renee so she wouldn't be found out.

She and her family had to keep moving around and she had to spend time away from her family to keep safe.

Thank goodness for the people who were able to help and protect families.

A story that gives a clear view from a child's stand point. Also a great telling of how heroic the catholic church was in many cases, and what lengths the Nuns went to, to save children.

Like Anne Frank: The Diary of a Young Girl, this book is a wonderful way to learn about the Holocaust. It is about a little Jewish girl who has to hide in different villages with her family to stay safe during WWII. She has to change her name and her religion before being sent to a Catholic orphanage where she is scared and confused, and believes her parents are dead.
