Midway through her Grade 12 year, Isobel moves with her parents from Toronto to a small town where she knows no-one. To add to her misery, she promptly breaks her foot and has to start classes wearing a cast. But she is befriended by Eleanor Morgan and while she is relatively immobile, the girls begin some historical research that solves the mystery of Eleanor's great-grandfather's fate at long last. Fun to read - the high school social life is realistic and the Canadian history is interesting.
