Good for starting discussions about not judging people by appearances ( ) This modern fantasy book is about how a young poor boy showed kindness to an elderly man by giving him food. This book teaches the reader to show kindness to strangers and to always show respect to those that you encounter. I can use this book in my classroom to emphasize the importance of respecting the elderly. This book highlighted historical figures such as the nomadic horsemen and the Mandorin. The wonderful artwork of this book can be used to teach students about watercoloring and the artistic style of art from China. This book is the story of a village about to be attacked by their enemy. An old man shows up and says he is a dragon that will help them win if he is treated kindly and given something to eat and drink. He is laughed at and disregarded by the palace of the Mandarin because there is no way he can be a dragon. A young boy follows the dragon's request and he transforms into a dragon and saves the city. What a cute story about how first impressions can be wrong. sem resenhas | adicionar uma resenha
