I have to say that my favorite aspect of this text was that it was dedicated to my local library. How cool is it to open up a book and find a familiar name on the dedication page? Eileen Spinelli is a local author for me, but still. Anyway, this is a short piece of poetry that employs repetition to drive home that there are a lot of times each day when home is the place to be. It's kind of like listening to Jusy Garland repeat, again and again, that there's no place like home, but with a more fleshed description of when that's the case. I liked it. ( )

A little boy is frightened by things created by his own imagination on his way home from school, but feels safe and sound when he gets home to his happy mom and dad.
