Sir Edward Grey is an occult detective - seeker of dangers to the mankind from the past best left forgotten and fighter against the witches and ominous secret societies.

This volume collects first short stories of the Witchfinder and main story-line - hunt for the ancient creature that started terrorizing the London after it was excavated in the far lands (wont go any further into details because to say anything more would spoil things for others).

Art is great, mood is properly set to be very dark and oppressive as one would expect from a story about the monster hunter.

Highly recommended to all fans of weird and strange tales. ( )

This is my favorite of the Hellboy spin-offs, and I wish there was more of it. ( )

Probably my least favorite series in the universe of Mike Mignola, but still very entertaining and well written. ( )

This was awesome. Though I thought the main character was a little dry and not very deep, the setting was very cool and the occult stuff was great. The quotes from famous old books definitely added to the story and some of the extremely gory scenes added to the horrific atmosphere. The solution to the defeating the beast was interesting (and I thought) original. Not sure if there's a second book in this series but I'm definitely hooked. ( )
