Benny and Penny are two little mice, and their cousin Bo is coming and they know he likes to break their toys. This book had a great message of them telling Bo they don't like it when he breaks their toys, and that they would play with him if he stopped. Great for a clear lesson for children. ( ) Benny and Penny sibling mice who try to keep their toys away from the "toy breaker," their cousin Bo. Eventually, Benny and Penny figure out that they hurt Bo's feelings and share their toys. Aside from the nice illustrations and humorous story, the book's lesson makes this book well worth using in an early-grade class. Benny and Penny in The Toy Breaker is a graphic novel for early readers. Benny and Penny don't want to share their toys with cousin Bo because he always breaks them. After making Bo feel bad, and him getting stuck under the fence, they realized that playing and friendship is more important than toys. They all decide to not play with toys and use their imaginations to play and end up having fun. This books is a graphic novel, so it's written like a cartoon. This would be very appealing to young and new readers because it's easy to follow and all of the dialogue has a picture to go with it. Benny has made a map to find some loot and cousin Bo snatched it. Bo bullys them and makes fun of his cousins. Penny gets the map back and tells Bo they lost it. Bo and Penny fight over her monkey than the monkeys leg gets pulled off in the fight. So Bo decides to find other children to play with and gets stuck in a hole in the fence. After Benny and Penny help Bo get out he says he's sorry. Personal reaction - I loved it! I thought it was a cute story that children can relate to. Extension - Have the students act out some of the parts in the book and ask them how they would feel if it were them. Extension II - Have the students to make up a chart with good manners and then have them put some bad manners on the other side. The students could compare and talk about what is the right thing to do. sem resenhas | adicionar uma resenha
