The book doesn't say the little boy name, but from the pictures I can see that he is a boy. He has to go to the hospital to get his tonsils out, but he is nervous. What child wouldn't be? He is trying to decide which one of his bears he want to take with him. His family is trying to help him decide, by telling him which one they thing he should bring. The little boy doesn't care what his family is saying because he already knows which one he is going to bring. ( )

Summery:
There was a little boy who was going to the hospital to get his tonsils taken out. He was debating on which stuffed animal he should take with him to the hospital. So he finally decided to take barney with him.

Personal reaction:
My reaction was its a good book for maybe 3th graders. Most kids have stuffed animals for comfort, for example maybe it makes them not scared and just having that stuffed animal can make they not scared of anything.

Extension Ideas:
1. Ask kids about their favorite stuffed animal and why its important to them.
2. Ask if they stuffed animal help they through a difficult situation.
