Lisa and Gaspard are dogs that go on a field trip to the museum with their classmates. The children joked that Lisa and Gaspard could be part of the museum; they decided to make signs, sneak up the rope and stand as still as statues to look like part of the exhibit. Young children can relate to the experiences of this story because they often go on field trips with their class. ( ) This was a cute story. Instead of Gaspard and Lisa playing a joke on their classmates they end up being left at the museum. What do you think it feels like to be left in a museum in the dark? Luckily, they came back to look for them so they can return home safely. Lovely book from the beginning to the end. Gaspard and Lisa take a field trip with their class to the natural history museum. They get mad when some of their classmates tell them they look like museum exhibits. To get back at them, they pose as exhibits, which results in them getting locked in the museum! Again, the illustrations are the stars of the show. . . the cover illustration of Lisa with a comforting arm around Gaspard is so adorable. The image of the tiny Gaspard and Lisa being dwarfed by gigantic dinosaur bones is just enough to convey a sense of fright and peril. But all ends well when the class comes back to rescue the two animals.
