With so many Columbus picture books to choose from, this is one of my favorites. I think Trish Kline gives just the right amount of information without overwhelming students. Struggling readers can easily manage this book and feel successful in gaining knowledge and reading a biography. I used this book during our explorer unit with groups 1 and 2. ( )
