Wonderful! Peterson somehow knits together several separate storylines--each one full of adventure, danger, and suspense--without ever watering down our love for each of his sweetly crafted characters. His whole world holds together through the text, which, in spite of its heft, does not feel long at all. And as if that were not enough he uses language like a paintbrush, painting uniquely crafted landscapes, creatures, and adventures that thrill the heart. Loved it! ( )

Name: North! Or Be Eaten
Author: Andrew Peterson
Genre: Children Fiction, Fantasy, Sci-fi
Age: 6
Review:
Sequel of On The Edge of The Dark Sea of Darkness.
The cover is full of illustrations, which makes it eye catching for the readers.
First they found themselves on the edge of the dark sea of Darkness, but now they are forced to the North or be eaten.
Three siblings, Janner Igiby, Tink and Leeli were supposed to be ordinary children with a normal past. But the truth is uncovered now, they are the Lost Jewels of Anniera, heirs to a legendary kingdom across the sea, and suddenly everyone wants to kill them.
The story follows from the end of the first book, where the three children, Janner Igiby, Tink and their crippled sister Leeli have to flee to the Ice Prairies in order to survive against the lizardlike monster, Fangs of Dangs.
Master storyteller, Andrew Peterson returns with his quirky writing style and homour. The story is thrilling and enchanting for the readers and it feels like this book devours the reader's attention with absolutely amazing story and wonderful illustrations throughout the pages of the book. ( )

I am going to make this review really short. The book 'North! Or Be Eaten' is the second book of the Wingfeather Saga. This book is a good sequel but I personally felt that the first book was a bit better. The are loads of bad things happening in this book. By the time I finished this book, I was filled with mixed emotions- anger, happiness, sympathy, sadness etc. The illustrations and the world-building was wonderful. The character-development was also great as most of the characters mature as the story goes on. But this book, unlike the first one, was filled with adventures right from the start. Another thing that I personally liked in this book is the
ending which is filled with hope.

Overall, this is a great saga, which would be loved by both adults and children, filled with adventure, fantasy, family drama etc. I am eagerly waiting to read the next book!

I thank NetGalley and WaterBrook & Multnomah for giving me this amazing opportunity to read and review this amazing saga. ( )

North! Or Be Eaten is the second book of this Wingfeather Saga series. Though we start in Glipwood forest it seems like we get a bit about Tink and Janner and the Igiby family. I would suggest reading book 1 first. Though, I only got book 2. It was just as good without needing to read book 1. Though, I think it would be best if you want to know how and why we start where we do in “North!, or Be Eaten.”

We seem to be following Janner the most throughout the book. Though we get glimpses Tink. It seems that both Tink and Janner are what this book is about. Though the way Igiby family acts will they be able to survive.

What will happen to Janner and Tink and Leeli? Will they be able to stick together. Will they be killed by the Fang of Dang or the Stranders? I got the feeling something is up with their grandfather. Who wants the Igiby grandfather?

Will the sibling embrace their special talent or gifts? Will they allow Fangs and Gnag the nameless and others to betray them. It was an enjoyable read. Though a bit of it made me take a while to read. Once you get into the book it adventure of a ride.

The images that are drawn are wonderful. I love them. The author does a wonderful job of writing the story. I was more surprised at how it ends. There are quite a few twisted and turns throughout the book. Young adults and children will enjoy this book/ series. Good for middle-grade children and up.

The book is really clean and teaches some lessons as well as throughout the book. You would be surprised that this teaches about the importance of family, grace, friendship, trust, and sibling rivalry. ( )

I have SO MUCH LOVE for this series!

What a great sequel! With new friends, scarier foes, betrayls, secrets, and life lessons abound, the Igiby children take you on quite the wild ride in what is shaping up to be one of the most epic adventures ever!

I laughed, I cried (OMG, did I cry!), I gasped rather frequently, and I can't wait to jump into Book 3! ( )
