( ) "Moose on the Loose", by Kathy-jo Wargin is a fun poetry picture books children can get involved in. It asks many questions about what would you do if a moose was on the loose in several different circumstances, for example in your room, your yard, or your kitchen. This book allows teachers to get their students engaged by asking them the questions on what they would do if a moose was on the loose near them. I actually read this to several three year olds and they loved it. You should have heard the answers I got from them. Oh, the imaginations kids have. This book would interest kids from the ages 3-6. It has great illustrations they would enjoy. Can you imagine meeting a moose on the loose who came to live in your house? The young boy and his pet dog are depicted in the illustrations with what would be the natural, somewhat comedic reactions to the silly things the moose attempts, such as putting on his socks and taking a bath in the tub. As the title might suggest, this read aloud is jam-packed with rhyming words on every page, complete with large font and bolded rhyming words. Until the end, the story is read in questions, allowing the readers to not only experience the word structure of questions, but to also imagine what they would do with that moose on the loose. A playful read aloud perfect for preschoolers and kindergarteners who like to fill in the rhyming word and laugh at entertaining illustrations. sem resenhas | adicionar uma resenha
