This book uses comparisons to describe the relationships between objects, people, and feelings. The illustrations are colorful and depict the relationship that is being described. My favorite is the ending picture of the family camping under the stars which represent “families have together.” The rhyming language feels forced throughout the book, but it is still a sweet book. Families Have Together is a nice book that demonstrates all the different activities that families can do. I think some of the activities are more universal like "hands have eat" and "hair has brush". Overall the book shows how families can do all sorts of things together and that is a nice message.

This book shows that with everything no matter what you will always have family. I love how this book shows how important family is. Growing up i have always loved being around my family and this book is just about that. ( )

This book depicts what each member of this family does during the day and what is associated with each thing from schools meaning rush to bottoms meaning to sit. It is quite a good depiction of what a normal family is like and that in the end we have each other. ( )

This was a great book to read to children in PreK-1. It has a lot of rhyming about the everyday haves. Very cute book and the expressions in the illustrations put more meaning into each little stanza. ( )
