Book 2 from my reading group - I enjoyed the pacing of this book a bit more than the first in the series. Sophia is a great character, not totally loving Gray but I get it pirates are hot sometimes.
1.5 rounded up to 2 stars. This was a very slight improvement to the first book, imo, but still not terribly good or enjoyable. Lots of drama just for the sake of it, the secrets got tedious, the heroine was a bit of a disaster (poor choices, crying frequently, tripping a lot, pretty much no life skills beyond art, poor emotional intelligence (same for the hero on that one though)). One of the steamy scenes was a bit of a standout, but generally I'm just happy to have it over. Pretty much every other Dare book is heaps better than this. ( )
