Nobody could have imagined that information technology, the towering colossus that dominates our world, would meet its match in an innocent, six-year-old girl named Daphne. This is an enjoyable book if you can willingly suspend disbelief. While the story is improbable (an ancient spell causes bugs to attack and kill computer users), it is deftly written and passes the time nicely. Written in 1983, it also provides a nostalgic look on computer culture as it existed back when the machines first made a strong, nation-wide showing. (Remember the movie 'Weird Science'?)
