Ainda não há conversas na Discussão sobre este livro. Great premise, but the execution was lacking. ( ![]() This was one of my favorite childhood books. I also am not ashamed to admit I "borrowed" the cat's name cause I liked it so much. This book takes you into points in history, and makes it fun. The cat characters are fun and Gareth's commentary is amusing, as is Jason's loyalty. "A boys cat can talk. They travel the world and then the cat never talks again." This a story about a boy, Jason, and his magical cat, Gareth. Jason discovers that Gareth possess powers that allow him to time travel to nine different points in history (which represent his nine lives), and begs Gareth to take him on adventures with him while traveling through time. They go to a variety of points in history, such as the first building of the Great Pyramids, during the time of Caesar's rule, and many more. Unfortunately, since the book was originally published in the 1970s, there's a lot of language indicating derogatory stereotyping of people of certain cultures and a lack of cultural awareness. So, the teacher would need to make sure that if they used this book (as you could use it to model historical fiction writing in a classroom), then they would just need to proofread and pick out particular passages for the class to read and look at. I liked this book They went to Egypt. In Britain they met the future St. Patrick, When the future Patrick was talking about things I kept thinking - "well do something about it" in the future he will. In Italy the young Leonardo was adorable sem resenhas | adicionar uma resenha
