Listened to audio narrated by Rebecca Estrella. This was a shorter audio, just a little over four hours, I would have liked a bit more dynamics in the narration.

Aliyah is a cheetah shifter, what was captured while she was roaming free in Africa by poachers. She as well as other exotic wild animals were taken back the USA to become sport for hunters.
Sheriff Duncan thinks he's trailing after poachers, until he comes across a wounded cheetah that seems way more calm than she should, allowing him to drag her back to his truck.

Duncan's a good guy, wiling to protect the cheetah and not losing his mind when he discovers an injured woman in the place where he left the cheetah. Instead of the usual freak out he falls into instant lust.

This is a quick read, with a lot of intense sensual and erotic scenes, including anal sex, along with a bit of danger tracking the poachers and keeping her safe. I would have liked a little more relationship building, their insta lust didn't really have a lot of emotional connection for me, but with a short story many things get abbreviated.

Typical Maya Banks. Fast read. Just fluff. ( )

I haven't read many books by Ms Banks but each I read only makes me want to read more and more. Ms. Banks is a wonderful writer with an outstanding imagination. This book is no exception and she packs a lot of story into a very few pages. She also writes for smoking hot love scenes that will make you sweat and squirm. This is an interesting take on the shapeshifter lore. The loved the characters and setting of the story. I can't much else as I would give away the plot so I will finish by saying I highly recommend this story. ( )
