While some points can seem repetitive, Richard does a great job of bringing to the top of mind what we often forget. Make plans, but don't dwell on them. Appreciate what you have but always strive for better. Most importantly be a kind, and good person to make the world a better place. ( )

Self-help books can be a bit trying an pedantic. They tend towards the patronizing, and it can be a bit maddening reading something like that when you're stressed and low. This book by [a: Richard Carlson|2693|Richard Carlson|https://d.gr-assets.com/authors/1224778602p2/2693.jpg] is the antithesis of that in many ways. The book is divided into short sections (only a few pages each) detailing the various ways you can improve your life. Each tiny tidbit is remarkably helpful, reminding the reader to stay in the moment and not to stress too much about anything. The best part is that the advice is actually helpful. Tackling problems bit by bit is far more effective than taking on any singular massive task.

A very helpful book, overall. It all is small stuff. ( )

After the first 2 these got boring. Same stuff different day. Like Men are from Mars Author I think was more concerned with getting published than taking time to write well.
Men Are from Mars, Women Are from Venus Book of Days: 365 Inspirations to Enrich Your Relationships by John Gray (HarperCollins, 1998), hardcover
