Earth does not exist. . . . Or so they want you to believe. Who are they? What do they want? And who do they think they are? They are the Voltarians of Voltar—an empire 110 planets strong. They are already among us. And the invasion is about to begin . . . in a hundred years or so. Or is it? The truth is far more sinister. Undercover, underground and out of sight, the invaders plan what may in fact be a massive diversion. In the darkest recesses of Voltar’s Coordinated Information Apparatus (otherwise known as the CIA), a tyrant of terror sets out to exploit the invasion in order to seize power. All that stands in his way is a planet that doesn’t exist. Discover a world where corporations rule and political corruption is rife. Where governments are driven by oil and controlled by drugs. Where global warming is getting hotter by the minute . . . and a scorching love affair could determine the fate of millions. Where a cosmic conspiracy is about to hit home and the intergalactic intrigue knows no bounds. They call it Blito-P3. We call it Earth. You can’t afford to look the other way. It’s the end of the world as you know it . . . and the beginning of one of the most spectacular, thought-provoking, and wildly inventive works of science fiction and espionage of our time. “You will lose sleep. You will miss appointments. If you don’t force yourself to set it down and talk to your family from time to time, you may be looking for a new place to live. Reading The Invaders Plan is simply the most fun you can have by yourself.” —ORSON SCOTT CARD… (mais)

authored by L. Ron Hubbard. Read this back in junior high. This time around, I couldn't take the utter incompetence of the main character, who is a lackey for the villains. Written that way on purpose, but it was just embarrassing and I was very uncomfortable. Did not finish and will stick to Battlefield Earth & Final Blackout if I feel the need for some Hubbard. " ( )

So there were many parts of this book that were a HOOT! The names had me laughing throghout the entire book. It was funny, witty, and the story was interesting. I am glad after it sat on my bookshelf for the last 4 years that I finally took the time to read it. ( )

This series is really PULP sci-fi. Well yes, as a teenie I was reading anything. ( )

I really enjoyed this series. It was very creative with a good hero, Jettero Heller and I liked the technology of the space ship Tug One.

I read all ten books in the series skipping Volume 1 the first time through because I wanted to read about what happened on Earth, then went back and read volume 1 after I satisfied that need.

This series is a Sci Fi satire, full of comical escapades of lesser characters around a rather more composed Jettero Heller who is trying to succeed in his Mission to save Earth which is referred to by Volartians as Blito P3. ( )

I don't understand why this book is so overrated.
It was boring, the plot is bad (can I say stupid?) and you can feel the Scientology principles everywhere; shaping the character's motivations.
There are so much better scifi books to read, don't lose your time. ( )

[A] paralyzingly slow-moving adventure enlivened by interludes of kinky sex, sendups of effeminate homosexuals and a disregard of conventional grammar so global as to suggest a satire on the possibility of communication through language.

The Invader's Plan [Volume I, Mission Earth] reads like and intergalactic Raiders of the Lost Ark. Once you start you will be hard pressed to put the book down. On our scale of 1 to 10 with 10 being excellent, The Invader's Plan comes out at a 10. It's fabulous and fun reading.
