I liked this book for two reasons. One reason is that the book has tons of graphics that children can look at, so they can have a visual that explains some of the information that they are learning. On page 8 in the book, it has a timeline on the bottom of the page, showing some of the critical events of great Viking heroes. For example, in 1047 A.D., Harald Hardradi becomes the King of Norway. It also gives pictures with captions which shows artifacts of the Viking era including amulets, weapons, and tools that Vikings used to farm with. Another reason why I like this book because of the way the information is organized. In the table of contents, they list about the location of Vikings, family life, laws, and the foods that they ate. On each page, they have a little paragraph about the culture of the Vikings and then, they use pictures, timelines, and reenactments of historical events to give readers a more in depth look on the topic. This allows visual learners to have access to the information. ( )
