Carregando... Gary Larson's The Curse of Madame "C" : A Far Side Collection (1994)de Gary Larson

( ![]() The Far Side comics aren't my absolute favourites, but they're still a good way to spend a tea break. 741.5 Gary Larson, but probably not at his best. The book is amusing in places, sort of dull in other places, and totally incomprehensible in still other places. When Larson is good, he is very good; when he is bad, well, he's not horrid. And really, this doesn't reach bad, merely some that just really don't quite make it. The premise starts out with him encountering Madame C on a hike in the desert, and drinking a glass of milk she offered him, after which he was apparently compelled to draw cartoons. I wish he had just dispensed with the storyline, and gone straight to the cartoons. A quick read, some good laughs, and a few head scratchers make up a satisfying evening in the end. The short graphic story at the beginning is brilliant and hilarious and, amazing that Larson's single frame comics are, I wished this narrative had continued throughout the entire book. I really wanted to know more about the cow and the milk. sem resenhas | adicionar uma resenha
