Did I miss something, because there seemed to be no development of Duke Orsino's feelings towards Viola. He did praise her looks early on though (woah, wonder if at the end he was relieved to find out the reason for those confusing feelings for his bro Cesario). Still, he just suddenly agreed to marry her almost only to even things out, or to spite Olivia, or out of guilt because he treated Viola like a servant. And the clever Maria ending up with the drunkard (endearing??) Sir Toby? Or is this supposed to give us hope that she will set him straight? I know that marriages at the end are typical for an Elizabethan comedy, and Twelfth Night isn't considered as one of the later romances, so I will just have to get over how unromantic the weddings were, and just enjoy it for the fun romp that it is.
And have to stop imagining Amanda Bynes and Channing Tatum dressed in Elizabethan garb. ( )
