The children had too many toys, Papa had too many sporting goods, and Mama had too many books and fabrics. The family had too many items that they simply were not using. The children and Papa want to sell all the things that they no longer use, but Mama has a better idea. With the holidays soon approaching, Mama decides that the family should give their stuff to those in need. Seeing the happy faces of all the people who the Bernstein’s helped was more rewarding than a monetary gain. This book can be used in a classroom to show children the importance of helping others.
