He has toys outside, in the bathtub, and all over his house. He gets toys from everyone, his mom and dad, his grandparents, at the doctor's office when he is good, at the fast food places, from his aunt and uncles and his cousins. Spencer, like most kids, does not think he has too many toys, to him there is no such things as "too" many toys. The toys overfilled the house and that is when Spencer's mom makes him clean out his toys. They cleaned and cleaned all day long, until they got a big box filled to give away. Once they were finally done his mom goes downstairs to take a break, when she comes back upstairs, she sees all the toys on the ground that were in the box! Spencer said that he did have too many toys but the one thing that could not give away was the box! He made the box into a spaceship; this was the BEST TOY EVER. This is so fitting for children in today's world because they can have all the toys in the world, but something as simple as a cardboard box is the best thing ever to them. Spencer used his imagination and drew on the box to make it his spaceship and was very happy with that "toy". I love how David Shannon made this book so realistic to today’s children and how they are with toys. This is such a cute book to read to students for entertainment and just to get children to laugh and inspire them to use their own imagination like Spencer did. sem resenhas | adicionar uma resenha

Although he finally agrees that he has too many toys and needs to give them away, there is one toy that Spencer absolutely cannot part with. Não foram encontradas descrições de bibliotecas. |

This book is about a boy and he had so many toys! He got presents from all of his family members and friends for every single holiday. His mom wanted him to get rid of a bunch of his toys, but he didn't like the idea. After much convincing, he finally put them all in a box. When his mom came to get the box she saw the toys everywhere. This was because he had taken the box, made it into a rocket ship, and decided it was the best toy ever.
I picked this book because the illustrations were very colorful and covered most of the pages. This book is relatable for some kids because they don't want to get rid of their toys, even when they don't play with them, or have too many already. I also related to this book because my sister and I used to turn boxes into cars and airplanes to play in. We thought it was so much fun. ( )
