Pearson has a way of wording things strangely that is almost always hilarious. He is also prone to humorous understatements and exaggerations. "True Cross" wasn't exactly a plot-driven book; it focuses primarily on the growing friendship between two male neighbors. Pearson also has a habit of going of on tangents, but the tangents are always entertaining, at least. Overall, this was a good book, but the ending felt rushed and slightly confusing. The weak ending kept it from being a really good book, in my opinion. ( ) This book was consistently funny. Pearson has a way of wording things strangely that is almost always hilarious.
