In this kids nonfiction book, the author Laurence Pringle conveys to a young reader the cause and effect of climate change. He also brushes on what can be done to reverse the effects of climate change and prevent it getting worse in the future. I think this book is a good read for older children because global warming affects everyone, and these children are the future generation that could begin certain practices to help aid, but ultimately stop global warming. This book takes you through what global warming is, what it can do to our environment, how it affects peple and animals, and possible changes we can incorporate in our lives to make a difference. I think this would be a good book to do a report on or propose ideas to help stop global warming. Global Warming is well written and easy to read. There are many full color pictures to support the ideas/concepts presented. The section headings are clear and appropriate for the topic. The diagrams and charts are color coded and easy to decipher. Pringle uses scientific language without overwhelming the reader with unfamiliar and difficult vocabulary. The topic of global warming is of interest to teens and Pringle provides suggestions for responsible changes as well as outlines the serious consequences of a failure to address environmental concerns. Pringle discusses the history of climate changes and projects future possible changes. sem resenhas | adicionar uma resenha
