Great informative quick read....but you didnt touch on the Canadian connection at all. (

Great for Comic Book and Superhero fans, but also an interesting story to readers than may not be life-long fans. This story about the men that created Superman and then had to fight for their rights to claim their creation is interesting to young and old. (

This brightly colored picture book describes how two shy Clark Kent- like teens, Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster, created the original Superman comic in the 1930s. Author’s Note discusses Siegel and Shuster’s long struggle with DC Comics for credit and payment. Bibliography.

I love anything Superman-related, so I was predisposed to like this, I admit. But it really is a well-written biography of Siegel and Schuster, the creators of Superman, and the illustrations look just like they came out of an original Superman comic book! Very cool. (and again, the Cleveland connection is fun) (
