Carregando... Friends and Relations (Headline review)de Margaret Bacon
Nenhum(a) sem resenhas | adicionar uma resenha
Kate and Betty had once been inseparable, growing up together in the rough beauty of North Yorkshire, in league against the adult world. Betty became a successful London lawyer and married an ambitious Tory party candidate, whilst Kate opted for a more domestic life and motherhood, but despite the differences in their lives, they kept in touch. To help her friend, Kate suggests that Claire, the daughter of another childhood friend, might be suitable for the position of secretary to Betty's MP husband. This suggestion has a devastating impact on all their lives. Não foram encontradas descrições de bibliotecas. |

I only chose this book at the library because I was getting a couple of Joan Barfoot's - Margaret Bacon was just nearby on the shelves and the blurb sounded OK. "...a moving and thoughtful novel..." the publisher said. Well, they would say that, wouldn't they?
Margaret Bacon will now go on my "don't bother" list. (
