Though Sandy Dennis left a stunning legacy in theater and film that garnered one Academy Award and two Tony awards, her gift for writing was known only by a few close friends until after her death. Sandy Dennis's remarkable memoir reflects a true poet's soul in the face of life and death. Her memories reveal a tender, vulnerable and brave woman unfazed by the adoration of the world or the illness that finally took her life. As she reminisces about her love for a man; her life with friends, family, and cats; and her childhood in the Midwest, her clear voice offers a true gift of love and quiet valor. A portion of the proceeds from the sales of this book will be donated to Delta Society RM -- people helping animals and animals helping people.… (mais)
