A little plodding at times, I did end up enjoying it - want to read the next, if only to see more character development... And to find out if she falls for the detective! ( )

This was a very poorly written book - I kept wondering where on earth the editor was - not reading the drafts, obviously. I bought it from Amazon Marketplace based on the reviews, and because I wanted a light read. I doubt that I'll read any more by this author. The only thing that I really liked about this book was the location. I went on vacation to London last summer and poked around Notting Hill just enough to recognize some of the places mentioned in the novel. ( )
