Maker of Things was an interesting book in my opinion! I have never heard of Denise Fleming so when I came across this book I thought it would be a good book to read and get to know about Denise Fleming. By reading this book I learned about her life and her family. This was a pretty short book which I liked because it wasn't overwhelming me with information. ( )

This biography on Denise Fleming tells about her childhood and how she got into creating illustrations, which later allowed her to get into writting. She creates illustrations by using a technique known as pulp painting. I think this is a very interesting and creative technique. I might try to get a class to emulate her work by doing their own pulp painting. ( )
