This book was a standard in our house when I was growing up. My dad taught us almost all the songs in it, and he'd play the songs by ear on the piano and the guitar while he taught them to us.

All these years later, I am grateful that these songs are still part of my repertoire. Dad's book had to be re-bound because of all the use it got. The songs included are American classics, serious and funny, and I love them all. ( )
