The crew at Raven's Hollow is now faced with the threat of having the graveyard seized by the IRS unless they come up with over a half a million dollars. While this explanation gives the residents a reason to interact, it doesn't have the immediacy that it should: if these creatures have been around for over a thousand years, haven't they been able to solve crises like these before? The humor is still there, but the story lags a bit compared to the first arc. ( )

In this second story arc Michael is up against a mountain of back taxes & an inheritance tax which overwhelm him (half a million dollars). The two premises of the series thus far are that everyone wants the graveyard- why? & will he fall for the alluring vamp- Abby.
This is a nice enough story- neither the most or the least compelling series I've picked up. The art is very simple black & white renderings; not entirely to my taste as far as how the characters look but tastefully (and sometimes amusingly done). I will continue reading & may look up another of Moore's series - Far West as well. ( )
