Another pre-goodreads book i liked. At the time I was blown away by the audiobook which i downloaded for free from a website that I used often to find good books before audiobookbay and audible. I think it was a podcast site ( )
I just can't finish this book. The story seems interesting enough, but the author drags it along with too much medical/science talk. That alone is enough reason for me to place this book on my "abandoned" shelf. Perhaps I'll come back to it later, but right now I have too many other good books waiting to be read.
A unknown infection has entered the area. It has a triangular shape and seems to cause its hosts to become psychotic and violent. If the host remains alive, the triangle hatches and the host dies. Really keeps your interest.
Listened to the Podiobooks version. Loved Scary Perry and would've loved to see him a bit more, while Margaret Montoya was the most annoying doctor ever encountered in a story... would've loved to see her bite the dust. A sign of very good writer to me is when he/she can create characters that you can get attached to or cannot wait to see die a horrible death. ( )
I admit that this book was like reading a romance novel for horror fans. The plot was thin in a few places but the pace was great. I ripped through it in a day and sometimes it's just great to have a book that is all about fun and oh that's really gross. No thinking required, just get on the ride.
This book is for horror fans but I think it has some science fiction and thriller appeal. ( )
