What made the first release ofElements so impressive wasn't that it was especially easy to use;it was how much of Photoshop's power you could get for such a lowprice. Elements 2.0, however, takes big steps forward in both powerand ease. One assumes that the "for dummies" label applies to the reader only before he or she reads the book. In this case, at least, it applies equally well to the reader who has finished the book. How else could you describe a person who persists in self-inflicted torture? As for the book itself, any book on this subject that takes 200 pages to get to use of the "dodge" and "burn" tools, and then provides the "helpful" advice that "D" for "dodge" stands for "darken", except it's really the opposite, deserves a "D-" for "dummy."
