Humor (Fiction.) Young Adult Fiction. Young Adult Literature. HTML:Life was tragic enough before this spring started. With a distinct lack of boobage and an arse so big that birds of prey could nest within its shadows, Jess Jordan is saddled with the Goddess Flora for a best friend, a Britney Spears look-alike so gorgeous that one grain of her divine dandruff could make the blind see again. Jess knows that her soul mate is Ben Jones, a divine mixture of Leonardo diCaprio, Prince William, and Brad Pitt who oozes mystery and charisma. I laughed out loud in places at this British school girl. A lovely fresh voice. Recommend it for younger girls reading in the young adult section. 13 or 14 or so as it's pretty clean. ( )

Okay, Jess is cute, but I do think she could become annoying. ( )

Good, Jesse liked it. Love story set in Britain, girl is quirky. It's a quick read. ( )

I listened to this on CD and it was hilarious. A dramatic, British teen-age girl and the "tragedy" of her everyday life. The ending is teen-mush, but up until that I laughed quite a bit. Teens, of course, won't think the ending is dorky. ( )

Not a bad coming of age book, but for me it lacked substance and humour. I think it might have been better if Jess had told the story rather than having a third person narration. I could see similarities to Bridget Jones but for a much younger audience. ( )
