Holly and Daisy make major changes in this book. A good mystery is still the meat of the story but I am left feeling unnerved by some of her choices. ( )
Holly displays action without a lot of sex which made for better reading. Surprised at how Holly handled the trainer at camp, excessively more force than necessary. Glad to see the law enforcement agencies getting along somewhat. Liked the Teddy Fay character, his disguises, his planning, hard to hate him. Enjoyed all the characters from the previous books playing a part in the story. Disappointed again that dog Daisy really did not have much to do but walk. Think Teddy will show up again in the series. Amazed that Holly did not succeed completely this time. ( )
#4 in the series, our heroine moves to the CIA and does FBI work tracking down a killer. It continues to irk my reading that Woods refers to her father as Senior Master Sergeant (retired) Army. SMSgt is an AIR FORCE rank...E-8. That's been an irritant throughout the series. Get it right! Holly interacts with Lance Cabot, another CIA operative in a DOMESTIC law enforcement action--I hope that they don't do that with regularity, violating their international charter like that. We will see the bad guy, Teddy Fay in subsequent Woods novels. Enjoyable read, except for the errors of fact. ( )
