"My Baseball Book" by Gail Gibbons is a great book that gives step by step instructions as to how to play baseball. This book can be used from first grade to third grade depending on how the book is being used. This is a great book for several reasons. One of the reasons being that it goes through each of the elements of baseball. This book includes the equipment that is needed to play baseball as well how players are able to score runs while playing. One each page this book also has illustrations that go along with the words that are on the pages in order for the readers to be able to see what they are reading. They are able to get a visual of what they just read, which makes it easier for some students to comprehend as they read. This would be a great book to include in any type of sports lesson or silent reading. ( )
