The Adventures of Huckleberry Finn is a fantastic and an eye opening read . It takes place in time where racism is was alive and well, the book takes readers on a journey with two surprising characters who are both trying to overcoming their own challenges .I would connect the book with my class when talk about history of discrimination and how in the end we all lend on each other. Read by Ed Begley I can understand why this is such a classic. I found the end irritating, but overall, it was an enjoyable story. It really captures a people and a place in a memorable way. Maybe closer to 2.5, but not enough to round it up to 3.
Mark Twain may be called the Edison of our literature. There is no limit to his inventive genius, and the best proof of its range and originality is found in this book, in which the reader's interest is so strongly enlisted in the fortunes of two boys and a runaway negro that he follows their adventures with keen curiosity, although his common sense tells him that the incidents are as absurd and fantastic in many ways as the "Arabian Nights."
