John Utterson is highly respected as a lawyer in London and has many friends and acquaintances. One of his oldest friends is the brilliant Dr. Henry Jekyll who has fallen into the strange clutches of an evil and vile man named Mr. Hyde. When Utterson confronts Dr. Jekyll with his concerns about Hyde, Jekyll assures him, "The moment I choose I can be rid of Mr. Hyde. I give you my hand upon that." However, the truth of that statement remains to be seen.

The graphic novel adaptation of this classic book is very well-done. Alan Grant and Cam Kennedy have captured the essence of the story in dialogue and illustrations. The book leads the reader to the chilling conclusion.
